ToCats are similar in anatomy to the other felids, with strong, flexible bodies, quick reflexes, sharp retractable claws, and teeth adapted to killing small prey. Cat senses fit a crepuscular and predatory ecological niche. Cats can hear sounds too faint or too high in frequency for human ears, such as those made by mice and other small animals. They can see in near darkness. Like most other mammals, cats have poorer color vision and a better sense of smell than humans.
To control your cat’s weight, we suggest not leaving food out all day long. It is better to establish a feeding schedule and stay with it. Fresh clean drinking water should be available at all time. For kittens 6 to 12 weeks, feed them four times a day. For kittens 3 to 6 months, feed them 3 times a day, and adult cats should be fed either on large meal or two or three smaller meals a day..
By nature cats stay clean and rarely need a bath because they meticulously groom themselves throughout the day. This doesn’t mean that you don’t have to brush them; in fact daily combing will help reduce hairballs from forming in their stomach. It also helps keep their coat clean by removing dirt, spreading natural oils, preventing tangles and keeping their skin clean and irritant-free. For cats with short hair you can brush them once a week but long hair cats may need to be brushed every day.
